MEET THE VAIL VALLEY FOUNDATION BLOGGERS:
Paul Abling
Born and raised in Colorado Paul is the Marketing Manager for the Vail Valley Foundation and Vilar Performing Arts Center. He has worked with the Vail Valley Foundation since 2007 and has been a full time Vail Valley resident since 2003. Prior to joining the Vail Valley Foundation Paul worked for the Vail Valley Partnership. At the Vail Valley Foundation his primary focus is digital marketing including websites, social media, video and mobile apps.
What you don’t know about Paul:
Paul is an avid backcountry snowboarder, whitewater kayaker and rock climber. He makes up words frequently and is obsessed with ninjas. Being a ninja himself, when not at work he can be difficult to track down. He’s perpetually in search of areas where there is no 3G or WIFI service.

Melissa EggertMelissa Eggert joined the Vail Valley Foundation marketing team this fall as Interactive Marketing Coordinator. She wears different hats as graphic designer, social media strategist, and media coordinator. Prior to the Vail Valley Foundation, Melissa worked at a small integrated marketing firm in Denver.
What you don't know about Melissa:
She's obsessed with chocolate, hand-written letters, 1001freefonts.com, artsy photography, party planning, and big, slobbery dogs.
Shelley Woodworth
Shelley is in her 13th year with the Vail Valley Foundation, having started at the Vilar Performing Arts Center before the two organizations merged in 2001. Shelley now gets her feet wet marketing primarily the Teva Mountain Games (winter and summer), the Vail International Dance Festival and the VVF’s three free concert series.
What you don't know about Shelley:
Shelley speaks French fluently, has two brilliant boys and is a fourth-generation Vail native.
Caitlin Kakigi
Caitlin has been working for the Vail International Dance Festival since 2008. She trained as a dancer at Berkeley Ballet Theater, San Francisco Ballet School, The School of American Ballet, and with Suzanne Farrell before attending Harvard, where she served as co-director of the student ballet company. Caitlin enjoys dance photography and looks forward to the upcoming season in Vail.
What you don't know about Caitlin:
Caitlin spent a summer teaching art in South Africa.
John Dakin
John brings over 30 years of media and marketing experience to his position as Vice President of Communications for the Vail Valley Foundation, including work with the U.S. Ski Team, the 1996 Summer Olympics and the 2002 and 2010 Winter Games. A native of Grand Junction, Colorado and a graduate of the University of Colorado, John has been a Vail Valley Foundation employee since 1987, with a five-year hiatus following the 1999 World Alpine Ski Championships to form his own media, marketing and events consulting firm, Lone Marmot Productions.
What you don't know about JD:
He’s HUGE in Korea.
Born and raised in the Winter Park, CO, Lindsey moved to the Vail Valley this fall to work as the Education Coordinator for Vail Valley Foundation. Prior to making the move to the valley, Lindsey participated in the El Pomar Foundation Fellowship Program in Colorado Springs while finishing her Masters in Nonprofit Management.
What you don’t know about Lindsey:
The last three years Lindsey taught kids snowboarding part-time in Winter Park.
