TMG Course Maps - 10K Spring Runoff + X-Country Bike

The snow has melted out enough to finalize a couple on-mountain courses for events at the 2009 Teva Mountain Games. Check out links below to course maps for the 2009 Sobe X-Country presented by Sprint and the Native Eyewear 10K Spring Runoff. Both events are slated during the 2009 Teva Mountain Games - June 4-7.

The Sobe X-Country Mountain Bike course was designed by John Bailey (MTB race director) with help from Julie Rust (Head of VR Ski/Trial Patrol). We all meet and looked a bunch of options and based on trail conditions (which are way better than we faced last year) we were able to come up with this course. Vail Ski/Trail patrol has been working to make sure each of the trails we will be on are in good condition and cleared of any winter dead fall.

The Native Eyewear 10K Spring Runoff course has been changed... again!!!

Our event specialist met with Vail Resorts Trail Patrol and went over last year's course. Last year we had to take runners on certain routes because of some construction activity, but this year we were free and clear to make some adjustments. So of course...we did!

If you have run the 10K at the Teva Mountain Games in the past you may recognize this year's course. We have gone back to a tried and true course from a few years back. It's tougher than last year but also more scenic. Not that you will notice given the lack of oxygen at this elevation and the fact you can't see straight from straining to bust it up those hills!

The Teva Mountain Games are less than a week away. Registration is open for both the 10K Spring Runoff and X-County Bike.
