Rehearsals for Celebrate the Beat continue. The children participating in the free program continue to work with Artistic Director Tracy Straus in preparation for their final performance as part of Festival Highlights Spectacular at the Vail International Dance Festival on Sunday. Sunday's final performance will be the first time the CTB program has taken the big stage at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater as part of an actual VIDF performance.
We wanted to focus a little bit on the music of Celebrate the Beat below. The teachers of Celebrate the Beat are professional dancers, choreographers, musicians and composers, all of whom believe that the arts should be an integral part of every child's education. In the first video below you can see just how talented musicians Tim Ribner and Marc Malcuit are in addition to Tracy Straus. The passion all three convey to the students is truly inspirational.
