While most of the conversation with FIS Race Directors Guenter Hujara and Atle Skaardal last week centered on the Vail Valley's 2015 FIS World Championships bid, Hujara also took time out to confirm the upcoming Birds of Prey daily race schedule. The 2009 Audi Birds of Prey World Cup Race Week in Beaver Creek is slated for December 2-6.
Downhill training will get things started on December 2 and 3, with the Birds of Prey Downhill race scheduled for Friday, December 4. Saturday, December 5, will feature the Super Combined event, with the Downhill in the morning and the one run of Slalom in the afternoon, while Giant Slalom will bring down the curtain on the 2009 Birds of Prey competitions on Sunday, December 6.
Downhill and Super Combined Downhill will get underway at 11 a.m., with the first run of Giant Slalom scheduled for 9:45 a.m.
