With 22 days remaining until the first events at the 2009 Audi Birds of Prey World Cup Race Week course preparations are in full swing.
To date crews have been busy preparing the course, located on Beaver Creek Mountain, for the only men's World Cup ski race to take place on U.S. soil. While we have not seen much new snowfall in the last week, temperatures at high elevations have been cooperating for snow making. As of this posting, the downhill start, flyway and brink are all groomed out.
The Birds of Prey is a free event for spectators. Come check out all the action, December 4-6 as the road to Vancouver runs straight through Beaver Creek. Complete event details can be found HERE. Beaver Creek Mountain opens for the 2009-2010 season on November 25. You do not need to use a day on your pass to catch the action at the Birds of Prey.
