Snow Scrubs Second Lake Louise Downhill Training Run

As any ski racing fan worth his/her salt knows: If you want snow, run a Downhill.

Such was the case in Lake Louise today where a snowstorm rolled through Alberta, derailing the second scheduled Downhill training run for the World Cup men. Forecasts call for the storm to move on later today, although acculumlations of approximately six inches of new snow were reported by mid-morning, giving course crews a seeminly long night of work ahead. Expectations are for clear skies tomorrow's training.

Following the World Cup Downhill and Super-G races in Lake Louise, slated for Saturday and Sunday respectively, the Men's World Cup tour will head south to Beaver Creek for the 2009 Audi Birds of Prey World Cup Race Week, December 4-6.
