ABBA Addicts Unite--Arrival From Sweden Brings Classic Pop Sounds To Vilar Center Monday

It has been 28 years since the Swedish pop band ABBA last performed in public, but it will seem like only yesterday when Arrival From Sweden rekindles the “ABBA Fever” Monday evening, July 19, at the Vilar Performing Arts Center in Beaver Creek.

The group is the largest touring ABBA tribute in the world, having performed in over 35 nations around the globe, from Australia to Vietnam. Arrival’s show is also the only one to feature exclusive rights to create exact versions of ABBA’s original clothing.

Undoubtedly one of Sweden’s biggest exports ever, ABBA’s treasure chest of pop hits will come alive again, performed by a 12-member entourage that includes some of the original band members. Songs such as “Dancing Queen”; “Money, Money, Money” and “Waterloo” will immediately transport you back to the 1970’s and 80’s.

Arrival From Sweden’s sound of ABBA is so identical to the original that even ABBA aficionados on Swedish National Radio determined that Arrival’s version of “Dancing Queen” was actually ABBA during an on-air contest.

Tickets for The Music of ABBA with Arrival From Sweden are priced at $58 and are available online at vilarpac.org, by phone at 888.920.ARTS(2787) or in person at the Vilar Center box office in Beaver Creek. Tickets are available online 24 hours a day; the box office is open Monday through Friday from 11am-5pm MST, with additional hours on performance days.
