Vilar Center's July 14 Free Family Film Series Pre-Show Activities To Generate Funds For "Great American Bake Sale" Project

In conjunction with the Vilar Performing Arts Center's Free Family Film Series movie on Wednesday, families will have the opportunity to help local high school student Sarah Cochran as she works to raise money for her “Share Our Strength’s Great American Bake Sale” project.

Beginning at 5:30 p.m., kids will be able to decorate their own cupcakes, with a suggested donation of $3 per cupcake. The Great American Bake Sale is a national campaign that mobilizes Americans to end childhood hunger by holding bake sales in their communities.

The free film, "Imagine That", starring Eddie Murphey and Yara Shahidi, is scheduled for a 6:30 p.m. showtime. The move is rated PG.

Also new this week, the Beaver Creek Merchants will join in prior to the film for a summer fun family fashion show. Due to this addition, the weekly costume contest will not be held.

The Vilar Center's Free Family Film Series will conclude on Wednesday, July 21, with a screening of "Band Slam".
